My usual 35 would have been perfect for me, 36 is a bit too loose. If your feet have a tendency to swell, stick with your usual size, too, and don't size down. In terms of footbed, the difference between size is such that I could have easily worn 36 if not for the roomier fit in this model. But it's very minimal, elegant, and would be a great pair of shoes for a wedding guest who doesn't want to wear higher heels or stilettos.
