Pit/Trimmer
A professional yachtsman for over 20 years, he has competed in numerous America’s Cups and has won this race on two previous occasions. This will be his third Volvo Ocean Race.
Pitman
The pitman, as the name suggests, is found in the pit (lower deck) of the boat, this is the section that controls the sails . Their role is crucial as they are often the link between the other areas of the boat, working in combination with the bowman, trimmers and drivers.
